Rabbits Vs Pandas

We are near
check that out
requesting for assistance
how much time do we have
the pandas are
massacring our kind
we must not waste time

Reporting reporting
one more down
how much time do
we have to wait
let move out
before everything is
too late

Here come the pandas
with their enormous
gun and bazooka
they aimed us
with pride and honor
run my fellow bits
BOOM

Flying all over the place
like a bird who just got
its freedom of flight
The pandas fly in the air
Weapons begin to perform somersault
vehicles grow wings and float in the air
upon the sky
hope has appear…

Inspired by this Japanese anime called “Cat Shit One – The Animation”, it is actually a Japanese Animation by Motofumi Kobayashi based on 3 American soldiers and their activities during the Vietnam war and features soldiers and characters from many countries such as China, France, Korea, Australia, Russia and others. The art style definitely has a Metal Gear Solid influence and this is definitely one to watch for early next year. And they are rabbits! In the animation, it is rabbits vs. camels!

But in my poem, I just feel panda is a better choice =O, their appearance is kind of alike though i guess XD Hope you guys enjoy this^^~

Here is the 1st episode of the anime, if you like to see it with English subtitles(There is two parts): Link

  1. Happy Wednesday,
Thanks for the support to our poetry potluck.

  2. Heehehehe.. this was ONE totally creative piece! All along, I was imagining pandas carrying weapons and bombarding all over the place.. you have some AMAZING imagination, Riika! And in my humble opinion, it is a MUST for poetry…! You are full of imagination.. too good!! Lend me some please.. heheh

Thanks for linking this sweet piece with our potluck… yippeee!!

    • Ha-ha, if my mind can be emptied a little and take a break I would love to share with you!=D~ Having so much thoughts and inspiration can be kind of frustrated…especially when you are trying to get a good sleep, I can’t sleep well because of all the things that is in my head, you know XD

  3. Very fine poem. We usually associate pandas with comfort. Their use here by you seems to make the message more of a jolt. Well wrought …

    • haha, I was trying to make a comedy out of this XD~ When I watched anime, those rabbits are so flurry, and the thought of remaking the story into rabbits vs. pandas instead of the original rabbits vs. camels was actually inspired from a friend’s nickname =P

  4. Wonderful as all of creativity Rikka, also thanks for all of your support, cannot do it without you. Much love to you darling xx

  5. love it,
how cute those precious animals are.

  6. Wow this is a great resource.. I’m enjoying it.. good article

  7. This makes me think of Kung Fu Panda, lol. Never give up on a panda, lol. They can do anything, ha ha! Funny and well written, Riika.

  8. This was a different take on a massacre. I don’t picture either pandas or rabbits as violent though, so that is where the humor can be found.

    • :D I looked it differently though after watching that short animation :3 ^^ But i am not trying to portray them as violent animals but in a kind of anime and fun way XD

  9. This was a fun read! I like the fact that you took Panda’s and made them sort of warriors. It’s like taking a dragon and making it a house pet, =). Great post!

    very nice indeed.

    very good Riika.

  12. i always looked at pandas as rather slow and peaceful animals – interesting that you chose them for your poem

    • XD Somehow when i looked at the rabbits in that anime and compared to the appearance of the panda, i just think they look kind of alike and decide to use them instead of something else :P , and also panda have been one of my favorite animals ^^

  13. You words create some interesting visuals indeed…thanks for sharing. :-)

    • ^.^ This was inspired by a Japanese Animation, the episode 2 is set to release next year i think and they have this quote which pretty summarize the whole animation, “No mercy even if you are cute!” ha-ha XD Thank for stopping by^^~
