Connoisseur

Sweet
Sour
Bitter
Salty
Savory
I taste it all these years
I know what is the best
the moment it
touches my tongue

The sizzling flavor
melts down the throat
The aftertaste travels
around the mouth
and gives a
persistence sensation
Numbing the whole body

Only me,
can see the wonders
of the food and drinks
appearing in front of me
for it is a heaven
that only I
can truly enter…

I didn’t know that Connoisseur can also mean an expert judge in matters of taste until I went to search and came pass Wikipedia and saw that meaning and which somehow inspired me to write. I am a food lover myself (Or simply can’t live without having good food in my stomach!<3) and I can be quite picky on food that I ate sometimes, well it kind of depends. As long as it is good food, surely it will satisfy my stomach ;D, Hope you guys enjoy this delicious poem ^^~
