Piling Up

This is happening
again and again
why does it just
keep piling up
as if it is an
endless path of
no escape

Frustrated calls
Stress took over
Sleepless night begins
so little done, so much to do
a hope of endless time
took a wishful thinking
back to the past

Remember the past
Sipping cup of tea
Enjoying the bath
Dancing in the limelight

.
.
.

And now,
what I have is nothing
but a pile of workload
that made me
descends
into
hell

  1. Little things that pile up often can become overwhelming.

    My COT’s here.

  2. This sounds like the beginning of a nightmare! But so well expressed…

  3. Thanks for reminding those of us who feel overwhelmed that we can still find that moment of peace in a cup of tea. This is my first Carry On Tuesday, and I enjoyed reading your poem.

  4. Yes, life is consuming, but we have a duty to ourselves to keep moving forward and to struggle to find that one piece of joy despite it all.

    • Totally agreed with you=D Even when time is tight and many work to be done, as long as there is a piece of joy in them, it will be so wonderful and motivate us to move forward and ahead of time^^~

  5. oh, i so often fall in to this trap, sigh!…well summed up :-)

  6. That’s life for you, never enough time…But there’s always time for tea. Tea, hmmm, I might have a cup ;)

  7. …and….thank you…. now I’m going to make a cup of tea!

  8. A question and a choice…
Who am I without all this activity?
    I don’t know.
    I must know.

  9. You’ve pretty much summed up many people’s lives with this poem…too much to do…too little time.
