The Broken Smile

Your
face
is no longer
smiling no matter
how I make a fool of myself
you are just looking at me
with your cold and icy eyes

Driven into a corner and searching for a solution
Wishing a miracle will happen
I will do anything to
regain that precious smile
on your beautiful
face

How
I wish a day
you will stand up and embrace me
with your arms
Everything went back as
it is the past
I miss your smile

But life gives no mercy
Things around you start
fading away from your sight
Darkness snatch you away
your smile
your everything
from the me
who can’t even save your smile
at the very last
moment

  1. Great, that is exactly what my wife and I needed to learn

  2. simply words, magical implications!

  3. Nice shape poem.Reminding the value of relations. You have beautifully portraited the importance of living in present.

  4. Lovely poem. True sentiment: treasure your friends and family, enjoy their company, let them know they love you. We just never know for sure that they’ll still be here tomorrow and, if not, too late …

    Hard lesson to learn …

    Thanks for a fine post.

  5. Well done. I like the flow and imagery :3

  6. You have made such a good point…so powerful x

    • ^^Thank you Amanda~ I want to tell people that cherish people around you, you never know when and where they are going to disappear to…and until the day someone disappear, we start regretting and finding way to get them back to normal :3 it is kinda too late by then i guess

  7. Regaining a lost ‘smile’ is so difficult to do…you really present this problem well.

  8. Sometimes an embrace or a smile it`s more powerful than words.
    Gooooooooooooood (^_^)
