Warrior of Memories

n
memories
drifted deep
within my heart
Fighting for
a wrong cause
Evil and Insanity
devoured my
soul and spirit
There was no way out
A battle called upon and
fate shall decide our final reunion
Weapons swung in mid-air
Crossed in destiny
Blood spattered in pool
Just at that moment
when the scythe of
leniency pierced
into your body
everything
became
clear
and
it is
all too late
The love that I once
treasured
had gone
into
the

Underworld

I had shared this poem entry over at Jingle Poetry for The Poetry Potluck Week #3, a place for poets to share and encourage, you can check out others’ sharing at Jingle Poetry too!

  1. Love the flow from the illustration into the poem, both original and striking. The poem is dramatic and I liked the ending … though, of course, in life one would not.

P.S.: What a darling little kitty you’ve place on the blog as an endnote … I’m in love! :-)

  2. You have a vivid imagination, Riika,
