The Last Gift

The
last gift
I can ever
give you was the
icy palace of eternity
The two keys that tied
together. You will not be
forgotten. Your existence
will never fade away in my
heart and soul, I promise.
For I will embrace you
till the end the world
forget all about
you and till
then I
will
never
leave this
palace, I will
accompany you
forever. I will use
my warmth to cover
you and make sure
you will never be
alone again
If there is
a price
for all
of us
to pay
Then let
me be the
one that will
pay on your behalf
as both of us will wither
as the time struck midnight
It is no longer love that exists between us
It is a bond that is unbreakable
through a lifetime of torment

  2. More effective woven-shape fantasy work. Seems you’ve found a niche.

  3. Pain does bring ppl together! Like the entwined helix ladder you made with words here. Love the music!

  4. As usual Riika, your image playing with colors and alphabets is amazing.. and the story that you have weaved into them, is fantastic. I loved both…

  5. Great form. Love does flow forever, but as Khalil Gibran says “make not a bond of it”. Death does not sever ties, but the best gift you can offer a love is for you to continue…

  6. “It is a bond that is unbreakable through a lifetime of torment” — oh, the ache in this. I enjoyed the form of the poem as well, it felt like an hour glass flowing.
