Lady Sekhmet

Fatality
Lies Within
the ancient hands
as the darkness and light
rejoice in
evil and corruption
The lady flapped her wings
and lay gently in
the lap of
The Devil of Underworld
She looked into
his eyes
and smiled
The touch of union
Merged in harmony
Lips met for a
lifetime
She wields the
war and rage
that had
driven the land
into
despair
Hell and Heaven met in celebration
of this marriage
Drunk in the midst of moonlight
Blood or Beer
and return to her
true self
once again yet
happily embraced by
her one and only
love

RiikaInfinityy brings you another series of “The Women of Darkness & Sins”, it is a special set of seven poetry works featuring 7 different women of darkness and sins created by RiikaInfinityy herself. The digital arts found and manipulated are from various wonderful artists which made it possible for her to create the style of story poetry once again.

This is the sixth installment of the series entitled “Lady Sekhmet”.

This poem is actually related to Hathor, I called her a cow-goddess and she is one of my favorite Ancient Egyptian Goddess. She was actually a goddess of the sky, love, beauty, motherhood, music, and cows. Very beautiful lady, isn’t she? =3

She was noted in the Wikipedia as a bloodthirsty warrior called “Sekhmet” and I decided to come out with a story and play around with twist here and there.  And somehow, I am kind of amused by the ending of what happened when she drank the beer that she thought it was blood. =P

    keep it up.

  2. Such wonderful surreal beauty.

  3. Wonderful!

Did you actually paint that picture yourself???

  4. I wish I had your knowledge of mythology–it makes for some pretty powerful poetic themes. Something I studied a few times, and forgot. Time to do some more reading, I guess.
