This is actually my 2nd painting using Photoshop CS4 and Wacom Intuos 4. I decided to learn and play around with the colors since I hasn’t been painting for like 5 years until now.
This painting will also most likely be the cover page of Tributes of Sonia (4th Book) entitled “Wish Upon A Fall”.
In this painting, I am experimenting with texture, shadows and tones. I am still trying to play around with the painting tool and more as I think it is really different from painting on a real canvas itself.

Image – Aesthetically delightful, the contrasting shade of blues with that central tone on the hair, draws the eye right into the centre of the action, forcing one to focus on the character’s. Instantly my eyes are focused on the girl, the pose and other visual clues such as the chained wrists and bandaged thigh, imply to me, a lack of freedom and a wounded soul. Perhaps she longs for recognition or wants rid of her woes.
The poem for me reinforces what the image was saying to me, maybe I am completely wrong, but I like the poem and the image all the same.
Wonderful piece of art…the words definitely bring it to life.

Raises an interesting question – Who/what does eternity need protection from? Must admit I got a good half hour of thinking about this down and am still working on it. Lovely as always, both the painting & the poetry were stand-out. Enjoyable on every level. Take it easy,
