Ukeoi gyōsha

The ancestors
of Evil Eye
left a legacy of
descendants
that have the ability of
seeing devils
Living in the shadows
to secure the order
between the realms
We called them
the contractors
Ukeoi gyōsha
They lived throughout
the decades of years
holding by the two
important rules of the Eye
Never to fall in love with anyone
Be it a human or a devil
A name that branded one as the contractor
should never be known to anyone except himself
The blood of human and devil fused as one
Stay along with the time and
blend in with everyone
As one who sees devils
is one who will
deal with
Satan
sooner
or
later
.

One Response to “Ukeoi gyōsha”

  1. This reminded me of stories I heard when in Tunisia…enjoyed the poem.
